Q:What
time do the doors open for the show?
A:6:00pm - Come in early...get your seats...order a drink...order
some food...play some pool...talk amongst yourselves.
Q:How
long do the shows last?
A:The shows are 90 minutes long. With our early start
time of 7:00, you can be home and in your pajamas by 9:00. You do wear
pajamas, right?
Q:Is
it hard to find?
A:Maximum Comedy is at The Yukon, right on Hwy 287 (College
Ave in Ft Collins). Get your stand-up comedy fix only 7 minutes south
of Harmony Road in Fort Collins, only 5 minutes north of Eisenhower Blvd
in Loveland. If you are coming from Greeley, see the
map.
Q:Where
do I park?
A:The Yukon has tons of off-street free parking. Now,
if you want to pay us for parking, that can be arranged.
Q:I'm
under 21, can I get in?
A:Yes! You will be given a wrist band to indicate you
can't order alchohol. Wear it to school the next day and tell everyone
it's a bracelet to show your support for the expansion of badger habitat.
Seriously, say it with a straight face and just walk away. Make'em wonder...
Q:I'm
under 12, can I get it?
A:No, unless you have a really progressive parent that
wants to bring you.
Q:Can
I get tickets in advance?
A:At this time, all tickets are sold at the door on a
first-come-first-served basis.
Q:How
do I dress to see a standup comedy show?
A:Casual is cool. But if you want to dress up, no one
will come up and say "Hey, why are you wearing that tuxedo?"
OK, they might ask about a tuxedo, but anything else is cool.
Q:Will
the comedians pick on me?
A:No. We like to hire comedians that respect their audience.
Now, they may occasionally ask a question of someone, or make a quick
little jab, but never will they just start an unprovoked attack on someone
in the audience. Now, if someone starts yelling at them or commenting
out loud, all bets are off...
Q:Is
it cool to talk to the comedians?
A:If the comic asks a question of the entire audience,
or in the rare case of someone specific, then it's cool. However, if someone
feels the need to talk to the comedian out loud, we ask that they remember
that everyone else paid to see the comedian, not them. If you are one
of those people that feels that need, maybe you should try going on stage
yourself. See the question below about open mic comedy.
Q:Did
I see a blooper reel sponsored by Maximum Comedy at the Colorado Eagles
game?
A:Yes. We are a proud sponsor of the Colorado Eagles.
We do not, however, condone the crashing and burning seen in the last
skating bloopers reel. (But it was funny.)
Q:Do
you ever have shows on Friday or Saturday?
A:Currently, all Maximum Comedy shows are on Sunday. Once we get a big
enough audience base, we will expand to those nights. Come on in and help
us get there faster.
Q:Do
you ever have an open mic comedy show?
A:At this time, all the acts we use are professional
comedians from across the country. If you wish to give stand-up comedy
a shot, visit www.JayBenedictBrown.com/wits
and sign up for the New Talent Night at Wit's End Comedy Club in Denver.
That show is organized by the producer of Maximum Comedy, comedian Jay
Benedict Brown of Loveland. Indicate
in your email that you have seen Maximum Comedy and you live in Northern
Colorado. |
